but a huge darkness has fallen
on blogland.
I heard the incredibly sad news that our
sweet Renee has lost her battle with cancer.
While I am relieved that her suffering has finally ended
I feel such a sadness.
With Renee no longer here to offer
her great insights on life and
her daily encouragement to her readers
there is a giant black hole in blogland.
I shall rely on her words and humor to
see me through and find comfort in the fact
that the Angels are welcoming her home
to make that final walk to meet her God.
Please say a prayer for Renee's husband,
children and grandchildren.
They have a long journey ahead
of them as they learn to
navigate their way through this
world without their Dear Renee.

Oh, Diva, this is so so true. I am in tears again. Sending you a big hug - I am grateful to have met you through our dear friend. xoxoxo Pam
ReplyDeleteYou are so right! A huge hole has been left with Renee's passing. I do believe, though, that her spirit and her love, which she shared so freely, will live on through all those who love her! Sending you a big hug! Much love, Silke
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrible loss, but she would have been pleased with the way you shared your grief with us. A lovely post even in times of sorrow.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful words for our dear Renee. Sending you lots of hugs and love, especially today.

Oh, I'm saddened by this news even though I have not read Renee's blog. There's something oddly comforting about grief. It means something terribly important... it means that that dear one will be missed, that she mattered, that you care. Comfort to all who will miss her...
ReplyDeleteHello
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for our loss here in blogland and I send prayers to Renee's family for comfort and peace.

I'm afraid I don't know who Renee was, but this post is sad and is the first death in blogland for me.
ReplyDeleteThis is sad news indeed. I'll keep her family in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteOh dear . . . I did not know until I just read this now on here Diva. Renee will be sadly missed. She was a bright light to me. A part of me is glad that her suffering has ended, but oh what a big hole will be left . . . Prayers for her family in this great loss. I expect that Renee and her mom are enjoying some quality time together in the beyond right now, both free from the pain and suffering that so clouded their last days together here on earth. XXOO
ReplyDeleteI didn't know Renee.. but I am wrapping you in Angel wings and prayers.. and will do the same for her family.
ReplyDeleteLosing a blog friend can be devestating.. my soul sister Daisy who I met through blogging died a few years ago.. and it was the most dreadful grieving time for me.. take your time to grieve Diva.. bundle yourself up in a warm blanket and nurture your soul xoxo
Oh my, this is so sad.... I just wrote a note to Carolyn who posted about Renee's passing. I am so sorry you have lost a dear friend, my heart goes out to you girls today and I will keep her family in my prayers.....
ReplyDeleteHugs,

Oh Diva, I'm so sorry! Prayers went up for Renee, her husband and her children this morning.
ReplyDeleteTry to focus on celebrating her, like you did in this post....remembering what she added to everyone's day.
And remember, she is free now, with Him.
I'm truly so very sorry!
I have not been able to move my mind off of Renee and her family. It is heart breaking, yet even though I know her pain is over I have no idea why she had to feel pain in the first place. The big mystery of life?!???????
