is 'Country Living',
I have had a subscription to it
since it first was published in '76.
There are others that have caught
my fancy over the years like 'Country Home'
and 'Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion'.
Sadly they are out of print now
so for today I'll share some images
from 'Country Living'
that make me joyful!
somthing to love in all these kitchens!
vintage linens are always nice!
who wouldn't want to visit this shop?
a good place to catch a few zzzz's
green :)
lace and silver, pure elegance!
I've always wanted a butler's pantry!
one can never have too many buttons!
I use my vintage flower fogs for displaying old postcards and cabinet photos.
and of course great seasonal decor!
If you don't get this magazine, run out and
by a copy, pour yourself some tea
and have a relaxing afternoon.
I too am a huge fan of both from conception of the first issues and have collected and poured over every issue!!!
ReplyDeleteI love this magazine as well! I can remember in the early nineties trying to buy up old copies to keep.

I've just come in from a hard days work......and the first blog update was you on my bloglist....I was so pleased to see such happy pictures, so very joyful and spring like....thank you for sharing!xxxx
ReplyDeleteOh another thing we have in common! I didn't come on board until 1979 or 1980, but I've had a subscription ever since. It sure has changed through the years, but it's still looked forward to with anticipation.
ReplyDeleteI subscribed to it for a long time, but I didn't renew this time because I don't have the time to read it! I'm no longer a magazine girl. I have to depend on people like you to post pictures.
ReplyDeleteIt is eye candy, isn't it? You can't go wrong.
You may have always wanted a butler's pantry...I've always wanted a butler. MWAHAHAHAHA!
Oh, I love it when bloggers do posts like this one. Thank you for taking the time to share all these lovely pic with us. I LOVE all the "Martha Stewart" green that abounds in them. And the one with all the vintage tablecloths...be still my heart. : )
ReplyDeleteI was sorry to read about your friend, below. I will keep her family in my prayers.

I use to buy Country Living (american) but it got very expensive here so I switched to the British edition which was alot cheaper and it is brilliant..
ReplyDeleteour decorating style here in Australia is a little different to both editions of Country Living..
I always loved Country Living as well Diva. I used to have all of them that I had collected through the years. Too expensive to ship them over here to the UK though, so sadly they had to go!
