are usually one of the first spring
flowers I buy for my front porch.
There is just something so 'happy' about them!
Maybe it's because it's one of the first
flowers I dare plant outside during the
fickle month of March since they will tolerate
the cold nights and even an occasional
spring snowfall.
Of course I always get some pansies
now for the very same reasons.
This is also a great time to get some fresh
cut daffodils from your grocery store
at a very reasonable price.
Can you tell I'm anxiously awaiting spring's
arrival???
Hope you are all enjoying sunny days
and warmer temps where you are too!
Me, too, Diva! I am on my way this morning to do that very thing - acquire some pansies for me, and for my Mom's patio. Daffodils are my favorite flower. :) Happy almost Spring! xo Pam
ReplyDeleteLoving those colors of spring...just picked up a little bundle of daffodils yesterday :)
ReplyDeleteI have Johnny Jump Ups all over my yard that come up on their own, even in the gravel on the side of the house where the driveway is! lol They are the first flowers that come up even before the snow is completely gone. Such hardy plants when they look so delicate. We've been having absolutely beautiful weather over here and not much snow left in the yard now...very unusual for this time of year over here! Usually March is our stormiest month with snowfalls!! I'm sure not complaining though:-) xoxo
ReplyDeleteI do love the Springtime...life begins anew. Ahhh...Wee Johnny with such a joyful, smiling face. A grand way to spend the day.
