Now Where Was I ???

I think when I was sharing some of my favorite
things to collect I left off right about here...
you remember now don't you? I have a thing for green and basketweave.

Anyway, since things that catch my eye
pretty much run the full gamut, I sometimes
cross over into other styles like
any green planters...

these just happen to be McCoy
but not all my planters are.

I have a large skylight
in my master bathroom so houseplants
of all kinds thrive there. My favorites are my
african violets.
They can be found in any supermarket
or home improvement store
for little money and they bloom all year long!
I simply pop the little plant into
my vintage planters and
I'm a very happy girl!

These are a few of my other planters.
Now while most of my houseplants sit either
around my tub or elsewhere around my home
not every place is condusive to good
plant health so when I need a touch of
green I place some artificial ivy
in a wall pocket and hang
it wherever I like!

...of course they're vintage as well !
Hope you enjoyed viewing these favorites of mine.

  2. I'm really enjoying this, Diva!! I get to know you better by what you write AND what you collect!

I'm still mystified as to how you house all your lovelies!!!

And now I can't see anything green without thinking of you...and The Source. It's his favorite color too!!

  3. having plants inside is fantastic! it reduces the toxic stuff from all the plastics etc that our homes harbour these days.

  4. Love your McCoy! You have some wonderful pieces. I so envy you the African Violets - my grandmother used to grow them on little ledges that attached to her windowsills. I should give them a try - don't they need a northern exposure?

  5. Ahhhh, more beautiful vintage treasures!! How awesome that you have a skylight in your master bedroom, that's something I would love to have. One of my gran's favourite flowers were African Violets so I've always tried to grow some but unfortunately they end up dying. See, told you I need a skylight! lol xoxo

  7. Diva, the violets are to die for. And that little wall planter is so different. You really have some one of a kind treasures. Don't know any thing about McCoy but its pretty.

Hey about that pact, I'm in. There has to be a way without using diet pills and such, for me I need to find the right balance. And more excersize I think. I might talk to a local nutritionest. My body is not used to these extra pounds. It freaks out!
So keep in touch, I will too.

Her desire is to help mothers find a to fit art into their every day, even if it's just a little something. I would so love for you to join us. You can read more about it on my blog; and if you're interested in participating, just leave me a comment, and I'll add you to the list.
