I Received Some Sad News Today

If you remember my post from
the beginning of the week
I mentioned that one of my stops
during 'Girl's Weekend' at the cabin
was Peachey's
the Amish Store where
we had a wonderful homemade breakfast.
Beside's the restaurant this location
also housed a grocery store
with a butcher and a bakery
where one could buy the most
wonderful foods, always so fresh.
Upstairs was the an adorable gift shop
with some of the nicest things.
I have been shopping here for years.

Sadly in the wee hours of Thursday
morning there was a fire
that completely destroyed the building.

This is all that remains.
Please join me in sending
prayers to not only the family
that lost their business but to all the
employees who are now out of work.
thank you

  2. Hi Diva. My heart goes out to the owners and employees of Peachey's. That's terrible news. I hope the family & employees can stay strong and keep heart knowing that God certainly has a plan for their future.

    Hugs...Tracy :)

  5. How absolutely heartbreaking to have that happen to ones family business and also to the employees that depended on it for employment.

My children own a lovely restaurant and bakery and I know how we would feel if something happened to it.

I know their friends and we concerned bloggers will keep them in our thoughts and prayers so that all eventually end well. Hopefully a new and even nicer store will come of it. Such things have happened before.

How kind of you to send out the word for encouragement to all concerned!

I want to thank you also for your ever so sweet comment on my blog. I am always shocked at how white my hair is since I was a very dark brunette. I even hesitate to post such photo's. And then you came along.... :) thank you SO much! I love you for that!
    Hugs,
    Mona

there was a man that was shipwrecked...his boat sank and he was washed ashore...the island was deserted....he was all alone...he built himself a hut out of sticks....one day he was out fishing for food....he came back to find his hut in flames....oh no god...are you kidding me? first my boat..then this deserted island...now my hut is burned to the ground! the next day a rescue plane came to save him....how did you find me? he asked...ahhh....the smoke from the burning hut! we never know what the plan is...have faith that what ever god has in mind is BETTER! have a great day my love
