Random News

First, a big thank you to all who
offered up prayers for the
Amish store that was lost in a
fire last week. With all
the community support and a
Facebook page dedicated to them the
Family has decided to rebuild.
With God's help they will return
to service their community with
their butcher,
grocery store and bakery.
They will rebuild the restaurant and
ice cream shop too!
It may take some time but
 God will see them through.

Yesterday we lost our cat Misty
to old age, she was 19 years old.
Though we have two other cats
and a dog the house seems
 strangely quiet without her.
On a happy note, the marsh mariglods
are blooming in our pond!
Through joy and sorrow,
illness and health,
loss and blessings,
life continues to unfold
and we must continue to look
forward in Hope.

  1. Hey Love. I love you post. I'm so glad to hear that hope of rebuilding. With God's love and giving they will come back stronger and better if that is indeed possible.

Thanks for stopping by this morning. I won those pillows just in time for my birthday last week and was thrilled to know they were coming.

I'm happy to hear you're having a wonderful day.

    Hugs...Tracy :)

  2. I am so sorry to hear your Misty is gone. She lived to a wonderful old age as did our Scratches. He helped us raise our children and also lived to 19 years old.
It is always good to have other pets in the home but there is always that little space that is left empty.
Mele is my last dog and I know this. I don't want to die and leave her alone in the care of others. So...I have made up my mind about this. She is just five years with luck we will go fairly close together. I hope.

The marsh marigolds are lovely and that certainly ends your post on a happy note. Hope. Yes.
    A wonderful thing to have.

  3. p.s. I didn't mention it, but I am delighted that the family has decided to rebuild their store. I know you are too! Good for them!!

  4. I am so sorry that you lost your sweet Misty...I know what that feels like. Sweet thoughts to you all.

  5. This is such good news that they are rebuilding--it's great how a community can get together and help each other. Oh I'm so sorry that you lost your Misty--for 19 years, she really was a big part of your family.

  6. Sorry to hear about Misty .. they do have a special place in our hearts. Happy to hear that they are rebuilding. YeeHaw!

  7. So sorry to hear about your kitty. They do leave a hole when they go, don't they? She lived a long life, no wonder it seems empty without her there. xoxo pam

  8. Oh my heart goes out hearing about Misty. I pray that your hearts be comforted. What a wonderful post though. You all are doing something so great! This post was a true blessing indeed! thanks so much for coming by to visit and share!

  9. I'm so glad the store is going to be rebuilt. I'm sorry about Misty, after 19 years her presence would be missed. It sounds like she had a good life but I'm sure you miss her.

  10. Yay! So glad that the store will be rebuilt. That's the spirit!

And I'm sorry to read about Missy's passing, but what a wonderful long life she enjoyed. Nineteen years? That's incredible. I'm sure that you will miss her and that would be natural after knowing her so long.
