The Coral Bells

                                            are making their appearance

in my garden now.

They come in several types

with different color foliage.

The blooms are all similar but are
 slightly different in color.

What I love most about these perenials
is that though they bloom
early their colorful foliage provides
a great backdrop for the summer
blooms that follow.
What's blooming in your garden?

  1. They are absolutely gorgeous! I have a few, too, and I've noticed that they are coming up slowly by surely. Maybe this year the rabbits won't find them and eat them to the ground.

  3. Not much blooming here yet, but those plants of yours, are gorgeous!!! Must look for Coral Bells. Well, must have *Resident Gardner* Uncle A. look for them. :-)

Anyway, why did I drop in here, hu? Just read your comment over in Vee's post today. And I soooooooooo agree with it! Had to make a second comment there, saying I so agree with what you said.

And I thought I'd come over and tell you, that I loved your view! :-)

  4. Ohhhhhh Dear! You made me do the *dreaded* Word Verification! And you have Comment Verification turned on too!

Why, Dear One? Why make your readers do the *dreaded* Word Verification, when you are reading all your comments, before you Publish them anyway?

I use Comment Ver. and read my comments, before Publishing them, and that way, no SPAM or crapola gets into my Comments. Wondering if you know that the *dreaded* Word Verification is turned on, in your Settings?

    Gentle hugs...

  5. Ooooh, how very beautiful your flowers are!!! We don't see Coral Bells around here until at least July. I had crocuses blooming in my flowerbeds at the front of the house but the snow we got over a week ago killed them off. The tulips and daffodils seem to be ok and look like they're about to bloom any day now. I've noticed my lilies and irises are starting to come up but it will be a while yet before they're in bloom. It's just so wonderful to see signs of Spring popping up everywhere:-)

  6. Oh my what a lot of wonderful variety you have here. I have a wild variety growing in my yard, the foliage looks most like what you have in your 2nd photo. I don't know if it is actually a variety of coral bells but it looks and acts a lot like it.

  7. Your garden is so beautiful. It must be very therapeutic to work in the garden.

    May God bless your day.

  10. Beautiful garden! The leaves are returning to the trees around here, unfortunately bringing record levels of pollen too. The allergies are worth it to have all this green again!

  12. Hi Diva.
I think the leaves of coral bells are so pretty. I had a couple a few years ago and didn't even know that's what they were. I bought them just for the foliage. Do you have a lot of each kind? They're lovely.

It was so nice to hear from you today. Thanks for your well wishes for my MIL. It looks like things are as good as they can be now with the pain. I appreciate it so much when you visit and love reading your comments. Happy to hear you like the aprons.

    Hugs...Tracy :)
