Is Your Glass Half Full or Half Empty?

'Change your perspective by changing the labels
used to identify your feelings, for instance,
anxious butterflies become eager anticipation.'
Approach your life as if everything is a blessing,
even difficult times can bring needed lessons
or opportunities. Instead of worrying, try prayer.
Instead of panicing over the unknown, embrace change.
Rather than allowing dread to fill your days,
offer yourself  to assist those in need.
A simple change in your perspective can
mean the difference between a bad day
and one filled with grace and love.

  1. Good words of advice...though I'm not sure that I can get from anxiety to eager butterflies. :D

  2. What a wonderful message! One we can all ponder and act upon.
I remember when you and your son went on one of these mission/service trips last year. How impressive that these youth give of their time, talents and funds to help others like this. You must be very proud of your son and his friends.
I loved your 'White Wednesday'. You are an amazing gardener.
Thank you, Diva, for your kind words when my mom passed away. They meant a lot to me.
    Take care,
    Mary Lou

  3. My glass is full. Not half-full. The way I figure it, if I wake up in the morning breathing and in my right mind, if I'm able to do something to make someone's life a little easier - my glass is full: grateful, joyful, thoughtful, purposeful, mindful, helpful, etc....

  4. Beautiful post! And so true. We each have a choice each morning to either be happy or not. I choose happy!

PS - I like what pj said in her comment.
